Summer Scouting

Filed under: DEER MANAGEMENT — Administrator @ 5:26 pm

The month of July is ending. The crops are doing very well with the weekly rains. We have been scouting our soybean fields and the woods leading to and from bedding areas. We have our “deer cams” in various spots in the woods, gathering tons of information from the pictures. We have come accross a good ammount of deer with awsome headgear, still in velvet. Glassing our bean fields, we find deer grazing at all hours of the day. With the information we have gathered, we will be placing ladder stands in those travel routes, and feeding areas.
