About Southern Hospitality Guide Service
Our Virginia guided hunts offers hunts for Deer, Turkey and Small Game. We offer hunting packages for one or more day hunts. We can accommodate up to four guests, with many styles of hunting. Our terrian consists of hardwoods, river bottoms, swamps and creek bottoms, standing pines, cutover and farm land. With over 1500+ acres of territory, we are able to select the best hunting sites on any given day, while allowing other land to rest.
At Southern Hospitality Guide Service -
we work hard for you. All hunts in the
fall will start early morning. We can slip
you in at pre-dawn and let you still hunt.
We can work the dogs into the swamps,
if the hunt is slow. Let you still hunt
again for the afternoon hunt. It's your
hunt .... We are here to help make it
happen. In all of our fall and winter
hunts, a quality hot lunch is always
provided, or bag lunch if your going to
still hunt all day.
Deer hunting has always been a passion for many who come to hunt. King William is a shotgun only county, no slugs, buckshot only. Our stands are situated where deer travel, either by their natural movement or when the Hounds give chase. Using Hounds, gives us the opportunity to move deer that are bedded in swamps and marsh areas that are not accessible for man - These areas also produce big bucks and deer that have eluded the hunting pressure that builds as the season progresses.
Genetics plays a big role when Trophy Hunting. Genetics is the key in any environment. If you have the best genetics in seed corn, you get a great crop with superior yeild. You have a superior genetics in a bull, you will have quality yearlings. The same holds true for deer.
